The project

Client: Agribeton S.p.A.

Location: Treviso

Category: Restoration

Area: 1,600 m²

As part of the conservation restoration of Ca’ Rinaldi – a historic Treviso palace situated in the very heart of Piazza Rinaldi, overlooking the picturesque Buranelli Canal and just a stone’s throw from Piazza dei Signori – Agribeton has carried out a meticulous restoration project covering both the structural elements of this ancient residence, dating back to the 15th century, and the floors known as ‘terrazzi alla veneziana’.

Palazzo Rinaldi has been designated a National Monument and is now Treviso’s second most important municipal building. The restoration work, which began in June 2010, was carried out in full compliance with the conservation restrictions imposed on the building, restoring one of the city’s most significant historic buildings to its former glory.

This project demonstrates Agribeton’s ability to tackle the complexities of high-quality restoration: working on a building of such historical and artistic significance requires specialised technical expertise, materials compatible with the original ones, and constant attention to the preservation of the authentic fabric.

The result is a building that has been restored to its former glory, with its state rooms – the Fresco Room and the Green Room – restored to their original splendour. This project demonstrates how the preservation of our historical heritage also makes a tangible contribution to the city’s identity and quality of life.

“Restoration is the methodological process of recognising a work of art in its physical form and in its dual aesthetic and historical dimensions, with a view to its transmission to future generations.”
